Longtime Montesano resident Charles “Bob” Robert Dunn passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, at Auburn Medical Center.

Longtime Montesano resident Charles “Bob” Robert Dunn passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, at Auburn Medical Center. He was 64. Bob was born June 24, 1954, in Hiawatha, Kansas, to Robert and Alice (Robidoux) Dunn. His family moved to Grays Harbor in 1960 and he graduated from Montesano High School in 1972.

Bob worked as a logger then as yard engineer for 10 years for Tagman Logging. He then went to work for the Thurston County Roads and Transportation Department

He enjoyed coaching baseball: Gene’s Stop n Go and Vaughn Pumps; he loved to fish and hunt.

On June 4, 1983, Bob married Carrie Manley in Montesano. She survives him at the family home.

In addition to his loving wife Carrie, he is also survived by his son, Nicolas Dunn and daughter, Brianna Parks both of Montesano; his mother, Alice Dunn of Hiawatha, Kansas; three sisters, Barb Bailey of Aberdeen, Washington, Cheryl McCormick of Centralia, Washington and Nina Merchant of Hiawatha, Kansas and three grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the Montesano Moose Lodge on Sunday, March 31, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
