Carol (Pullar) Lunceford, 79 years of age, of Montesano, passed away on Oct. 14, 2021.

Carol (Pullar) Lunceford, 79 years of age, of Montesano, passed away on Oct. 14, 2021, after a brief bout with cancer.

She was born to Rellias and Mae Pullar on Feb. 26, 1942, in Littlefork, Minnesota. The family moved to Montesano in February of 1943 where resided for the rest of her life. Carol graduated from Montesano High School in 1960.

She married Douglas “Hungry” Lunceford in 1961. Together they owned and operated the Osterberg Motel for 13 years.

Carol is survived by her son Mike of Montesano, daughter Connie (Matt) Stowers of Elma, grandsons Braden Stowers of Elma and Alex (Jennifer) Stowers of Elma and great-granddaughter Dallas of Elma. She is also survived by her brother Bill (Kathy) Pullar of Montesano; sisters Barb Robecker of Shelton and Bonnie Schurr of Lynnwood, her special sister-in-law Donna Short of Dallas, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Janice Myers Malsch.

Carol enjoyed gardening, canning and traveling. Her greatest joy was her grandsons Alex and Braden and great-granddaughter Dallas.

Carol was a member of the Montesano Church of God.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Montesano Church of God with interment to follow at the Wynooche Cemetery and reception to follow at The Center, 303 Pioneer Ave West in Montesano.
