Brigitte Marie McNealley, 59, a deep-rooted resident of Montesano, Washington, and former county court clerk, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
Brigitte was born on December 5, 1963 to Pauline Carpio in Selma, California. She was raised in Fresno County, attending Orosi High School, where she graduated in 1982. She went on to College of the Sequoias receiving an AA. From there, Brigitte attended Fresno State, while also working with various jobs. She then began work with Round Table Pizza, where she would meet Eric McNealley. While working and studying together, they became smitten. The couple married on March 21, 1987 in Visalia, California. Shortly thereafter, Eric was offered a position in Washington state, the couple moved to Montesano, Washington. They would later welcome 3 children: sons, Alex, Sean and Forrest. Brigitte welcomed motherhood, and focused on her family as a stay-at-home mother over the next 12 years. As the boys grew older, Brigitte went back to work, obtaining a career with the Grays Harbor County Clerk’s Office where she remained for over 22 years. In 2000, Brigitte and Eric purchased their forever home in Montesano.
Brigitte was able to find appreciation in the little things. She found pleasure in spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed golfing, antiquing, cooking and sewing. She loved to travel with her family and friends, and her weekend getaways with her husband. They’ve traveled the beaches of San Diego, Hawaii and Mexico, as well as cruises to Alaska. She rejoiced in making new friends, and was steadfast in all her friendships new and old alike. She was a devout and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, her truest enjoyments of life. She will be remembered for her kindness and warmth, may her love continue to guide all those Brigitte has touched.
Brigitte is survived by her husband of 36 years, Eric McNealley; children: Alex McNealley, and wife Laura; Sean McNealley, and his wife, Katie; and Forrest McNealley; mother, Pauline Wisdom; stepfather, Dan Wisdom; and 4 grandchildren: Tracen, Isabel, Asher and Adeline.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Teddy.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 2 p.m. located at the Montesano Moose Lodge, 3 Monte-Elma Road, Montesano, Washington.
