With sorrow we announce the passing of Bob Peterson of Ocean Shores, Washington on March 4, 2025. He was surrounded by his children and wife when he passed.
Bob was born on July 19, 1948, in Moline, Illinois. He was a remarkable influence on countless children throughout his career as a school psychologist for North Beach and Lake Washington school districts. He spent many seasons coaching players in both Little League and basketball including a trip to the Girl’s Fastpitch World Series. Upon retiring he relocated to Ocean Shores, Washington where he was elected to City Council for two terms, created a summer day camp for school kids and developed a strong bond with the entire community.
Bob was known for his sense of humor, big heart, laugh and compassionate nature. He lived true to the blue as a huge Seattle Mariners fan, treasured listening to James Taylor and Joni Mitchell and adored his pets.
Bob is survived by his wife Cathey, children Rob (Kathy) and Samantha (Parker), brothers Ken (Denny) and Michael (Janice), three stepdaughters, 7 grandchildren and his best bud Benji.
