Benilda C. “Linda” McAllister, 69, a Harbor resident for many years, died at Garden Courte Memory Care in Olympia on Friday, July 24, 2020. She was born in Baguio, Philippines, April 6, 1951, the daughter of Plaso and Cecilia (Basilio) Capsuyan.
She attended schools in the Philippines and came to the United States in 1979. On Grays Harbor she had worked at Grays Harbor Veneer and later at Grays Harbor Paper Mill until it closed and she retired.
She enjoyed going to the casino with friends and was an excellent Filipino food cook.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Lia McAllister, Westport; a step-son: Brian McAllister, Longview; several family members in the Philippines; and one grandson, Cameron McAllister.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, in the Fern Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen. Her urn will be taken to the Philippines for placement there with family.
