Barb (Terrell) Mayer, a lifelong McCleary, Washington, resident, died April 16, 2022, in Auburn, Washington.
She was born Aug. 19, 1942, at the Elma General Hospital in Elma, Washington, and graduated from Elma High School in 1960. She began as a beautician, then worked for the State of Washington for 30 years and, after her retirement in 1998, worked at Gordon’s Market in McCleary. She served on the McCleary City Council, loved to do volunteer work, church, her pets, and, of course, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachelle Mayer of Aberdeen; three grandchildren, Tommi Nordenger (Tayler) of Georgetown, Texas; Robbi Arrington of Olympia and Kassidy Arrington of Aberdeen; two great-grandsons, Warren and Harvey; cousin, Sharla McCully of Tumwater, longtime friends, Joyce Powell and Pam Bridenback of McCleary and numerous other relatives and friends.
At her request, there will be no memorial service.
