75, lifetime Aberdeen resident and former mill worker, died Jan. 24th, 2020

Alfred Lee “Al” Michelbrink, 75, lifetime Aberdeen resident and former mill worker, died Jan. 24, 2020, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Washington.

Al was born on July 19, 1944, in Aberdeen to Alfred Bertrum and Clarice (Hashburger) Michelbrink. He attended Aberdeen schools.

On Sept. 27, 1964, Al married Rosanne Anderson in Hoquiam, Washington. She resides at the family home.

He worked for A&M for 20 years and was a member of the Aberdeen Eagles. He enjoyed shooting pool, clam digging, playing cribbage, watching the Seahawks and Mariners and relaxing outside on his deck watching the birds.

Al is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosanne Michelbrink of Aberdeen; three sons: Alfred L (Wendy) Michelbrink Jr. of North River, Washington, Thomas L. (Merri McPherson) Michelbrink of Shelton, Washington and Roger (Marie) Michelbrink of Glendale, Arizona; a daughter, Dianne Pratt of Aberdeen, Washington; a sister, Pam Morrison of Roseburg, Oregon; nine grandchildren: Merritt, Shelby, Julia, Sarah, Gavin, Alyssa, Brailyn, Warren and Aleeta. Al was preceded in death by a brother Marvin Michelbrink.

Per his request, there will be no services. There will be a celebration of life gathering at the Aberdeen VFW at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
