Adonna M. Wright (88), precious mother, grandmother and friend, went to be with the Lord on Dec 7, 2022. Born in Sedro-Wooley, Washington to Floyd and Waneta (Ledbetter) Moody, she was the youngest of six children.

In 1951, she married Richard V. Tippet (deceased). They moved to Aberdeen in 1956 where they raised five children, involving them in music, ballet and scouts. They divorced in 1987. In 1989, Adonna met and married Kenneth C. Wright. She and Ken loved dancing at the Elks. After Ken’s passing she continued dancing and enjoyed time with dear friends.

Adonna was a gifted seamstress and ran her own business, Adonna’s Fashions, for many years. She also enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting and machine embroidery work. Along with making items for family and friends she regularly donated lap robes to assisted living homes and created children’s quilts for the Shriners Hospitals. She loved the Lord and was an active member of First United Methodist Church. Through the years she made many of their paraments and loved spending quiet time when she would go in to change them.

Adonna is survived by her children: Dennina (Mike) Keen of Chehalis, Washington; Diana (Mike) McGregor of Ocean Shores, Washington; and Robert (Susan) Tippet of Jacksonville, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Nancy Moody and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken; son, Richard V. Tippet Jr. and daughter Kathleen A. Tippet.

A celebration of life will be held Feb. 12, 2023 (her birthday) at a time and location to be determined.
