Aaron Jonathon Buchanan, 31, an Aberdeen resident, passed away on April 23, 2022, in Aberdeen, Washington.
Aaron had a quick wit and a sense of humor that could make you laugh days after hearing it. He was a person who was always genuine and comfortable with who he was, unapologetically so.
Aaron was born on June 6, 1990, to parents Terry Buchanan and Robin Farrell. Aaron was raised in Raymond, Washington. He attended Raymond High School. After obtaining his G.E.D. Aaron continued on to cosmetology school. He went to Grays Harbor Beauty College where he graduated in 2013.
Aaron spent a lot of time living with Terry Carey and his wife Rhonda, whom he loved and thought of as his parents, after his had passed. Terry and Rhonda cared and loved Aaron, as if he was one their own children.
Aaron was accepted by an entirely new kind of family when he moved to Aberdeen. The unhoused population embraced Aaron for the person he was and considered him family, and he thought the same of them.
Aaron was a self-employed hair stylist and would commute around the county ensuring tremendous hair transformations for his clients. He enjoyed his profession, building the self esteem of those he worked with. He also enjoyed reading and loved music. Aaron loved his friends and family.
Aaron is survived by his brothers Patrick Carey and Drew Carey, both of Aberdeen, Washington; and his grandmother Selma Cardwell of Raymond, Washington.
He is also survived by, loved and deeply missed by, his street family of brothers and sisters, too numerous to count and name.
Aaron is preceded in death by his parents, Terry Buchanan and Robin Farrell.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on May 23, at Amazing Grace LutheranChurch in Aberdeen, Washington
