A woman was beaten then robbed of her phone and shoes by two other women Thursday morning, according to Aberdeen Police Lt. Kevin Darst.
Reports of a fight in front of the Aberdeen fire station brought officers to the scene, where the victim was still located. She told officers she knew the attackers by first name only. The two had left the scene in opposite directions, said Darst. The victim stated she was told by the two to take her shoes off. When she refused she was thrown to the ground and kicked in the face.
Darst said police have surveillance footage verifying the victim’s account. The victim was treated at the scene and refused to be taken to the hospital. Both alleged attackers are still at large.
Anyone who can help identify the suspects is encouraged to call Aberdeen Police.
