Suspected meth dealers busted in Raymond, South Bend

Two investigations by the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office covering several months have netted four suspected methamphetamine dealers in South Bend and Raymond.

South Bend

A two-month investigation resulted in three drug arrests in South Bend March 13, according to a statement released by Chief Criminal Deputy Pat Matlock.

Using confidential informants, the Sheriff’s Office was able to conduct methamphetamine purchases from the three suspects at a residence in the 300 block of Quincy Street over the length of the investigation. The search March 13 “revealed digital scales commonly used to weigh narcotics, suspected methamphetamine and articles of drug paraphernalia,” said Matlock.

Two suspects, a 43-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man, were arrested at the scene without incident. The third, another 18-year-old male, was arrested later. Matlock said it appeared the two younger suspects were “distributing methamphetamine (for the female suspect) in her absence or at her request.”

All three were booked into the Pacific County Jail, the woman on four counts of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Her bail was set at $75,000. The two males were booked and are currently held on $50,000 and $10,000 bail.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted with the service of the warrant by the South Bend and Raymond Police departments along with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Raymond

A search warrant was served on a residence in the 200 block of 13th Street on March 15, the result of a month-and-a-half-long narcotics investigation, said Matlock. During the investigation, using confidential informants, the Sheriff’s Office was able to conduct methamphetamine purchases from the suspect.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the residence, where deputies located three baggies of suspected methamphetamine along with various items of narcotics paraphernalia.

The suspect was transported to the Pacific County Jail and booked on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. She also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, said Matlock. Her bail was set at $ 100,000.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted with the service of the warrant by the Raymond Police Department.
