Social Media for small business is focus of day-long training in Aberdeen

Organized by Greater Grays Harbor

Greater Grays Harbor Inc., is organizing a day-long session designed to bring small businesses up to speed on the potential to grow through social media.

The session is Monday, March 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grays Harbor College. Lunch will be provided. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members.

Ninty-seven percent of online adults ages 16-64 say they have visited or used a social network within the last month according to a study by Global Web Index. But many businesses and organizations do not know if they are reaching the right audience with their social media, a GGHI news release says. Find out how to grow your organization’s social media and reach your target market at Ready, Set, Go with Social Media – an advanced social media workshop for businesses and non-profits.

Grays Harbor, Inc. has arranged for Misty Lambrecht, owner of Webfoot Marketing and Design, to address the subjects of: “Social Media – Keeping Up with the Changes” and “Facebook Business Pages and Marketing.”

The workshop is designed to answer questions, such as: Are you using the right social media tools for your business? And, how can a small business keep up, and find the time to manage their social media effectively – while also having enough time to run their business?

Lambrecht is a Google-certified trainer and has taught a wide range of classes about the Google suite of products, website development, search engine optimization and Social Media classes. Misty’s areas of expertise include advanced Social Media marketing, advertising strategies within Facebook, and focusing on the use of the Power Editor tool.

The training is in Schermer Building Room 4134.
