Shots fired in west Aberdeen, no injuries

A 40-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested after firing two shots at a 37-year-old Aberdeen man during a fight at a house in the 500 block of Willow Street just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to an Aberdeen Police Department release. Nobody in the residence or nearby was injured by the gunfire.

After officers detained the men at the house where they both live, the initial investigation indicated the 40-year-old suspect fired two shots, and he was taken into custody and booked for first-degree assault/domestic violence, the release said. Intoxication was a contributing factor to the fight, according to the release.

Detectives responded to the scene and were at the home until about 7 a.m. Sunday. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
