The public non-motorized boat launch that just opened on the Wynoochee River below the 7400 bridge is still accessible despite Green Diamond Resource Company’s timber land fire closures.

“Green Diamond has shut all of its timber lands to the public except for the recreation access area and a few other leased areas,” said company recreation program administrator Kim Buckingham. “The Wynoochee public boat launch access area is also going to stay open.”

The launch is accessible from the Wynoochee Valley Road just north of Cougar Smith Road and west off the main line near mile post 22. For updates visit greendiamond.com/recreation.
