Motorcyclist injured when trying to elude troopers on near Monte

A 34-year-old Spokane man was injured when he crashed attempting to elude Washington State Troopers on Highway 12 on Sunday evening near Montesano, the State Patrol said.

According to the report, the motorcycle was heading west at milepost 15 and didn’t yield to two marked State Patrol vehicles with emergency lights activated. The driver attempted to exit at Devonshire Road, lost control, struck the guard rail and was ejected.

The report said the driver was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries. He’s facing charges of felony eluding, reckless driving and DUI. The ramp to Devonshire was blocked for 2 1/2 hours.
