The Montesano softball field was named Dick Tagman Field at a dedication ceremony that drew several hundred people on Tuesday afternoon. The Tagman family have been large benefactors to the Montesano School District for several years. On pages 8 and 9, you’ll find reports on Montesano and other teams around the area. Dick Tagman was a member of Monte’s 1957 championship football team that was inducted into the school’s hall of fame and has had 23 family members graduate from the school, 36 if you count extended family. He was a supporter of every sport at MHS, attending events whether he had family playing or not. He died in 2017.
