Missing woman found dead off Polson Camp Road

Searchers found Joann W. Nelson, 78, who was reported missing after her vehicle was found on Highway 101 north of Egge Road March 27, deceased in a remote area off the end of Polson Camp Road Friday night.

Nelson was found in a heavily wooded area about a mile off the end of the road, according to Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office Chief Criminal Deputy Brad Johansson. Next of kin has been notified.

“At this point the death does not appear to be suspicious,” said Johansson. “The investigation will continue.”
