Meeting to discuss Aberdeen, Hoquiam fire cooperative service study findings Oct. 2

The cities of Aberdeen and Hoquiam will be hosting an open house for the general public Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. to discuss the findings and recommendations included in a recently completed Fire Department Cooperative Services Feasibility Study.

The open house will be held at the Port of Grays Harbor Commission Room at 111 S. Wooding St. in Aberdeen.

This study, completed by Emergency Services International, analyzed the operations of the Aberdeen and Hoquiam fire departments and provided recommendations on opportunities to share or consolidate services, said Hoquiam City Administrator Brian Shay.

The consulting team and staff will be on hand to present the information from the study and answer questions from the public, added Shay.

The study will be available at both cities’ websites, aberdeenwa.gov and cityofhoquiam.com.
