A McCleary man was injured in a crash early Sunday morning after missing a stop sign, according to a Washington State Patrol report.

Christopher J. Hay, 53, was medevac’d to Summit Pacific Medical Center not long after midnight on Sunday morning after being involved in the single-vehicle crash. Hay is charged with driving under the influence, according to the news release.

Hay failed to stop at a stop sign while westbound on state Route 108, according to the release, and hit a tree after leaving the roadway.

Hay was the only occupant in his vehicle, a 2019 Ford pickup. The vehicle was towed from the scene with repairable damage.
