Making a Splash

The Five Star Dealerships Aberdeen Splash Festival drew hundreds to Morrison Riverfront Park and the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Thursday.

Festivities kicked off at noon at the park, with a steady line of families enjoying the kids games and food vendors. Business was booming at the bounce houses and inflatable slides and a rock climbing wall set up behind the Tractor Supply store drew a crowd.

As the park activities wound down around 5 p.m., the party shifted to the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport. Some toured the tall ship Lady Washington, while others took part in her adventure and fireworks sails. There were games for kids, a Steam Donkey Brewing beer garden, and live music as people set up their spots to watch the fireworks show that concluded the event.
