Major retail theft ring busted by GH Drug Task Force

Home Depot, Walmart and the Department of Social and Health Services assisted with the investigation

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, after conducting a lengthy investigation into a major retail theft ring in Grays Harbor, the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Pioneer Road in Central Park.

The main suspect, a 48-year-old Aberdeen male, was arrested for first-degree trafficking in stolen property, money laundering, first-degree organized retail theft and food stamp trafficking. The second suspect, a 39-year-old Aberdeen female, was arrested for food stamp trafficking, according to Grays Harbor Drug Task Force Det. Sgt. Darrin King.

Both were booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail. The suspects’ shared home was searched and a large amount of evidence in the case was seized. This is an on-going investigation and more charges could follow.

The Aberdeen Police Department and the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office assisted with the service of the search warrant. To date, Home Depot, Walmart and the Department of Social and Health Services have assisted with the investigation.
