Level III sex offender registers Westport address

Twice convicted of improper contact with minor girls

A Level III sex offender, Richard Dale Glover, has registered an address in the 2000 block of Pleasant Drive in Westport, according to a statement released by the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Glover was convicted in 1988 of indecent liberties involving seven young girls. Glover’s second conviction in 1995 involved four young girls ranging from the ages of 14-17, while they were employed by Glover. Glover is classified as a heterosexual pedophile who suffers from a sexual desire disorder. Glover received some treatment pursuant to his 1988 conviction, but didn’t participate in any deviancy treatment during his second incarceration.

“Because Glover is in denial, essentially untreated, and a repeat sex offender, (he) may be a high risk to re-offend,” states the release. “Glover denies he has any sexual deviancy problems and minimizes his indecent liberties conviction in 1988. Glover has not completed any sexual offender programs.”

The Sheriff’s Office notifies the locations of sex offenders required to register their addresses. The release stresses Glover is not wanted by the police and the notification is in the interest of public safety. Citizen abuse of that information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.

Glover is described as a 70-year-old white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 pounds with green eyes and gray hair. He has scars on his right elbow and left knee.
