The eighth annual Lake Sylvia Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday at Lake Sylvia State Park in Montesano.

Sponsored by the The Friends of Schafer and Lake Sylvia, the event will include a pancake breakfast, music in the park, kids games and races, an artists’ market, food vendors, history talks, Boy Scout cooking demonstrations and kids’ nature art.

The event will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

New this year is a group kayak paddle at 2 p.m. The park has a limited number of kayaks to loan out at no cost or visitors may bring their own.

Those wishing to park in the park must have a Discover Pass. Free shuttle service, however, will be available at Simpson Elementary School.
