A juvenile female who allegedly stole several items from employees at an Aberdeen business fought with officers as she was arrested after crashing a stolen car on State Route 105 south of the Bishop Athletic Complex Tuesday.
According to Lt. Kevin Darst with the Aberdeen Police, employees at 220 W. First St. had seen “a sketchy character with short hair” hanging around the business. One employee then noticed her purse, wallet and other personal items were taken from an employees-only part of the business. Another employee found his keys were missing and, when he checked on his car, it was gone.
Darst said officers were advised within minutes that the stolen car had crashed. The suspect was “highly agitated and fought the officers on the scene,” he said. “She attempted to bite officers and assaulted two of the officers. She had multiple injuries and had to be transported by an ambulance to the hospital.”
The stolen items were located in the car, which was the vehicle reported stolen at the business. The case is being forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review and filing of multiple charges, said Darst.
