Halloween activities around the Harbor

A variety of Halloween activities are being held throughout Grays Harbor County. Here’s a sampling:

Saturday, Oct. 28

Westport

General James H. Doolittle VWF Post 3057 and Auxiliary invite all area children up to age 12 to their free annual Halloween party at noon. Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory. A responsible adult must accompany all children.

A cake walk, pumpkin decorating and refreshments are planned.

The post home is located at 211 E. Pacific Ave.

Hoquiam

The Hoquiam Business Association’s Haunted Hoquiam Trick or Treat is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. downtown.

Tuesday, Oct. 31

Elma

The Elma Chamber of Commerce and Elma businesses invite families to the 19th annual Downtown Trick or Treat from 3 to 6 p.m. Free wagon rides will be offered by the Elma feed store, leaving from and returning to the Elma Chamber.

In addition, the Harvest Fair Carnival at the Elma Middle School, sponsored by the churches of Elma, is scheduled for 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Ocean Shores

Ocean Shores Firefighters Association will host its 47th annual Halloween party for all ages at 6 p.m. at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. A costume contest for ages infant to 12-year-olds will be held at 7. For more information, call 360-289-3611.
