Another period of high winds with gusts up to 50 mph is expected in Grays Harbor County for the bulk of the day today, according to the National Weather Service.
A wind advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 9, with southeast winds of 25-35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Some affected areas will be Westport, Ocean Shores, Moclips and Hoquiam.
Winds like these can bring down trees and cause power outages. Grays Harbor County Emergency Management is monitoring the situation and will provide updates as needed, said Hannah Cleverly, Deputy Director of Emergency Management for the county.
