There were 16 new COVID-19 cases reported Monday in Grays Harbor County, bringing the year’s total to 554.
Monday, Grays Harbor Public Health was monitoring 83 cases in quarantine or isolation and had 154 active contact investigations, with 12 new contacts made Monday. There were 174 active contact investigations reported Friday.
Total contact investigations made by the county so far have reached 1,075, according to Public Health.
The county’s zip code map showing the number of cases within a particular zip code was updated Friday and shows close to half of the cases within the Aberdeen zip code, 246, up 57 in two weeks. Hoquiam has 89 cases, Elma 53, and Montesano 38.
Westport cases have risen to 36, up 15 over the course of two weeks. The Ocean Shores case count has risen by three over that time frame, from 15 to 18.
The number of cases attributed to September is at 248, 60 more than were reported in August. As of Monday, 10 cases have not been classified by month.
Cases by ethnicity show the climbing number of those positive tests attributed to Hispanics, 220 compared to 283 among whites. The next highest total is among American Indians with 21.
