Figures show fewer people unemployed in Grays Harbor County

Slight uptick in unemployment rates in Pacific County

The unemployment rate in Grays Harbor County dipped slightly in September. Monthly indicators released Tuesday from the Washington State Employment Security Department show 8.2 percent of Grays Harbor’s workforce was unemployed, compared to 8.7 percent in the month of August. The jobless rate in Pacific County saw a slight uptick from 7.7 to 7.8 percent. Washington’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stands at 5.6 percent, compared to the nationwide rate of 5 percent.
