Legislative Dist. 19 candidates will take part in virtual debates on Zoom and live streaming YouTube the next two Wednesdays.
The events are being organized by the Republican and Democratic Subcommittee for Debates/Forums for Wahkiakum County.
The 19th District includes parts of Grays Harbor, Cowlitz and Lewis counties and all of Pacific and Wahkiakum counties.On
On Wednesday, July 15, Senate candidates: Dean Takko, a Democrat from Longview; Wes Cormier, a Republican from Elma; and Jeff Wilson, a Republican from Longview, will debate at 7 p.m.
The following Wednesday, July 22, from 7-8 p.m., House candidates will debate: Position 1 candidates are Jim Walsh, a Republican from Aberdeen: Clint Bryson, a Democrat from Montesano and Marianne Everson, a Democrat from Montesano. Position 2 candidates are Brian Blake, a Democrat from Aberdeen, and Joel McEntire, a Republican from Cathlamet.

Voters have an opportunity to submit questions via email by 5 pm the day before the virtual debate to: wahkiakumrdteam@gmail.com. Attendees will not be allowed to ask questions during the virtual debate.
