Calls to public safety agencies

Routine stop reveals warrants

During a routine traffic stop for expired registration, an Aberdeen officer observed a female slumped over in the passenger seat of a white truck on West Market Street late Tuesday. The officer recognized the woman and confirmed she had Aberdeen Municipal Court and Grays Harbor warrants, among others. The 40-year old was transported to the Aberdeen jail for booking.

Riverside wine tasting nixed

An Aberdeen police officer saw a man walking toward the river carrying a bottle of wine about 9 p.m. Tuesday and discovered the man was underage, 20 years old, and “someone had just bought the wine for him at Walmart.” The bottle of wine was confiscated and the man given a ride home.

Vehicle prowls in Aberdeen

Police have been busy investigating several vehicle prowls. One occurred Wednesday morning in the 1000 block of West Cushing Street where a wallet was taken. Earlier that morning a subject was caught breaking into a car in the 1200 block of Arthur Street. The subject was caught after making entry into the car and nothing was taken. Officers remind everyone, please remember to lock your vehicles and do not leave valuables inside.
