Humptulips woman dies in 101 crash

A 29-year-old Humptulips woman was killed Tuesday night when her car went off the road and hit an embankment on US Highway 101.

The woman, identified by the Washington State Patrol as Therese A. Williams, was driving her 2012 Volkswagen Jetta north on Highway 101 north of Humptulips when her car went off the road to the right, traveled about 200 feet, jumped over a ravine and hit the embankment, according to a State Patrol press release.

The State Patrol was dispatched to the scene at 7:06 p.m. after a caller reported the accident. The release said her seatbelt was worn improperly. The accident is still under investigation.
