Travelers who use the state Route 109 Spur in Hoquiam can expect a series of daytime highway closures.

The state Route 109 Spur will close to all traffic between U.S. Highway 101 and state Route 109 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 6.

During the closures, travelers will detour using U.S. Highway 101 and state Route 109.

The closures allow Washington State Department of Transportation crews to perform maintenance work and prepare for the winter storm season.
