The Highway 101 Simpson Avenue Bridge over the Hoquiam River will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday so the Department of Transportation can conduct a regularly scheduled bridge inspection.

According to a release from the Department of Transportation, during the inspection eastbound drivers will be detoured to the nearby Riverside Avenue Bridge, which will temporarily be configured to host a single lane of traffic in each direction. Drivers are advised to plan extra time for commutes and travel through the area during the inspection.
