Coastal Interpretive Center cancels planned outdoor tours

The Ocean Shores Coastal Interpretive Center, a museum and education center focused on the natural and coastal history of the state’s coast, has canceled its plans to conduct outdoor tours beginning July 11.

“Because of concerns over the increase in COVID-19 cases in Washington and across the country, the Coastal Interpretive Center has decided to cancel the special outdoor programs and tours that we had scheduled to start doing in mid-July,” said board president Nancy Eldridge.

Work continues on changes to the interior of the building and the installation of a new exhibit. Eldridge said the center is planning for a grand re-opening next year.

You can keep track of the center’s remodeling project on its Facebook page, facebook.com/CoastalInterpretiveCenter/.
