Centralia woman killed in crash on 109, Hoquiam driver held

27-year-old Hoquiam man was driving

The State Patrol has identified the 26-year-old Centralia woman who died in a car crash early Saturday morning on Highway 109 as Meaghan C. Price Shipe. She was a passenger in a car driven by a 27-year-old Hoquiam man. He was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail after being treated at Grays Harbor Community Hospital.

The Patrol says alcohol was involved in the crash and the Hoquiam man could face vehicular homicide charges. He is not being named in this story because formal charges have not been issued.

The Patrol said the one car crash happened just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning when the 2004 Nissan Sentra they were riding in left the road just north of Copalis and struck multiple trees. The car was northbound.
