World Music Day presents Ukulele Showcase

On Saturday, Dec. 21, from noon to 1 p.m., Aberdeen’s World Music Day and the Salmonberry Band host a Ukulele Showcase at the Aberdeen Timberland Library Rosalie Spellman Room.

No need to bring an Ukulele as we’ll have plenty to share. But if you prefer your own then please bring it.

The Salmonberry Band presents “Everything You Need to Know About Ukuleles.”

This is a celebration of World Music Day (winter edition). Attendees will hear about ukuleles, have hands-on experience learning three chords, and know how to play “Jingle Bells” by the end of the session. There will be a drawing for up to five ukuleles.The Timberland Library is at 121 East Market St. in downtown Aberdeen

AHS Goldenaires perform at Solid Coffee

The Aberdeen High School Goldenaires will be at Solid Coffee again this year to help you celebrate the holiday season. Come join us at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 at 1041 Riverside Ave. in Hoquiam. Listen to holiday favorites, purchase a beverage from our holiday menu and a decadent treat from our dessert offerings.

Santa at KeyBank

Santa will be at KeyBank in Hoquiam from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20. Everyone is invited to stop by for a visit and take some photos.

Hoquiam Holiday Light Parade

This will be a lighted car parade beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, leaving from the corner of 8th and N. The route goes down 8th to K, then on 2nd to N and finally back to the starting point. Everyone is welcome to hook up some lights and join in th parade — no fancy car needed just some holiday spirit. Santa will also be in the mix. Seabrook Holiday Parade

Bundle up and join the spectacle of the fun and festive holiday parade throughout Seabrook beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday Dec. 21, in the Town Center, featuring decorated floats to the traditional music, plus a fun “snow” drop.
