Apparent SR 12 road rage incident sends one to the hospital Tuesday morning

An apparent case of road rage sent a Gig Harbor man to Grays Harbor Community Hospital Tuesday morning.

Both vehicles were westbound on State Route 12 at the Monte Brady Road. Just after 7:30 a.m. a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek driven by a 59-year-old Seattle man was in front of a 2003 Dodge Dakota driven by a 50-year-old Gig Harbor man. The Gig Harbor man reportedly rammed the back of the Seattle man’s vehicle. When the Seattle man pulled to the shoulder to call 911, the Gig Harbor man reportedly pulled in front of him, put the car in reverse and rammed the front of the Subaru.

The driver of the Dodge Dakota was transported by aid to Grays Harbor Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries. A female passenger was not injured. The driver of the Subaru was not injured.

The Gig Harbor man faces charges of second degree assault and more. Witnesses to the incident are encouraged to contact Trooper Mariakis at (360) 473-0300.
