An Evening of Harbor History

Saron Lutheran First Presbyterian will host a Harbor History event at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21. The event is a fundraiser for the “Save Saron” effort to fix water damage that has threatened the church’s structure.

Featured speakers will include John Larson, director of The Polson Museum, doing a slideshow on Saron’s historic neighborhood; John Hughes, the former publisher and editor of the The Daily World and current state historian; and special guests from the Friends of the Aberdeen Museum.

A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.

Tickets for the event are $10 and are available at the door in advance at Harbor Drug and Gifts in Hoquiam.

For more information, call the church at 360-532-4611, or email sarongraysharbor@gmail.com.

Donations to “Save Saron” can be made on the church’s webpage, sarongraysharbor.org.

The church is located at the corner of 8th and M streets in Hoquiam.
