Firefighters from the Hoquiam Fire Department were able to assist a four-legged resident of the county on Monday out of a tight spot.

Capt. Larissa Rohr and Firefighter Eli Fox responded to the call, and were able to extricate Hero, a puppy who had gotten tangled in wiring in the crawlspace of a house, said Hoquiam Fire Chief Matt Miller.

Fox crawled under the house and was able to free Hero, according to an HFD social media post. The dog was able to quickly return to a busy day of licking things and eating, according to the post.
