Aberdeen teachers union ratifies new contract with district

Members of the Aberdeen Education Association ratified a three-year contract agreement with the Aberdeen School District at a union meeting earlier today, according to a statement on the district’s website.

Union President and teacher Michelle Reed said that union members “overwhelmingly approved” the decision to ratify the contract.

This contract will be presented to the Aberdeen School Board for approval at its next meeting on Sept. 18.

Details of the contract will be available in a later edition of The Daily World.
