Aberdeen Police arrest man for rape of a child

Victim’s father reportedly caught the suspect with his 13-year old daughter

A 20-year-old man was arrested late Tuesday afternoon by Aberdeen Police for rape of a child in the second degree.

Officers were called to a reported sex offense at about 5:30 p.m. at a residence on West First Street. They were informed by the 13-year old victim’s father that he had caught a 20-year old male in his daughter’s room and believed they had sexual relations. The officers were able to find the suspect near the location. After interviewing the victim and the suspect, it was determined the two were involved in a sexual relationship. The man was arrested and booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
