An Aberdeen man was arrested last week under suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend while she was holding their baby.

According to the Aberdeen Police Department in a press release, the 20-year-old man was arrested in the 200 Block of East First Street in Aberdeen. The two had a valid no-contact order at the time of the assault.

The suspect also reportedly made threats to kill his girlfriend via text message. The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken to the Aberdeen City Jail and subsequently to the Grays Harbor County Jail. He is being charged with first degree assault, harassment, and violation of a no contact order.
