This Grays Harbor cleaner won’t hang you out to dry

Friendly staff, convenient hours, premium service… take a load off your laundry list!

Your current work-from-home wardrobe may not require perfectly pressed pleats, but there are plenty of other reasons to visit your dry cleaner.

Does your bedding fit in your washing machine at home?

“Many people don’t have the opportunity to clean their bedding often enough,” says Curtis Scheelke, owner of Valley Cleaners in Aberdeen and Speedy Wash in Hoquiam. “My wife and I are in the business to provide that opportunity to anyone unable to get the job done in their home washer and dryer.”

Are your drapes collecting wildfire sediment, and in need of a delicate clean? Maybe you traded your business suit for a swimming suit, spending a lot of this socially distant summer camping in a tent. Send your dirty sleeping bag to Valley Cleaners or Speedy Wash for a high quality clean. It will come back to you with a clean feel and smell, ready for next year’s outdoor adventures.

“We finish collared shirts by hand, and we take that same care with everything people bring us,” says Scheelke, who together with his family has been caring for garments professionally since 1983. “We treat every garment like you bought it upstairs at Nordstrom. And if you bought it on sale at a discount store? We’ll make it look like the designer’s dream!”

More than dry cleaning

The Scheelke family was early to embrace environmentally friendly cleaning products, using silicone solvent marketed by Green Earth Cleaning.

“Silicone solvent is the best option in environmentally friendly alternatives to old technology petroleum-based cleaners. Thoroughly tested and used in thousands of cleaners around the world, it’s a progressive step forward in community conscious business practices,” Scheelke says.

Both Valley Cleaners and Speedy Wash offer modern, safe self-serve laundromat services with full time attendants on duty to keep the space tidy —and the water’s extra hot. Short on time? Both locations offer wash and fold services. Too short for your jeans? Get them hemmed!

“We have a tailor and a seamstress for repairs and alterations to clothing and other textiles,” Scheelke says.

Both stores are open long hours, so you can squeeze in a load of laundry at a time most convenient to you. Note that only Valley Cleaners has dry cleaning service.
