Wynooche Masonic Lodge 43 awarded its annual scholarships during an April 24 ceremony at the Masonic Temple in Montesano.

The 2017 recipients were Jordan Spradlin of Montesano Junior-Senior High School, Grace Aiken of Elma High School and Kylie Boling of Mary M. Knight High School.

Each year, the local schools nominate outstanding juniors; and the following year, when they are seniors, one is selected from each school for $1,000 scholarships.

The juniors recognized this year were, from Mary M. Knight, Cody Boothe and Cole Ruthruff;

From Montesano, Rachel Ayres, Lauren Denholm, Seth Dierkop, Morgan Kersker, Carson Klinger, Nathan Kloempken, Connor Parkinson, Devan Parkinson, Peyton Poler and Samantha Stanfield;

And from Elma, Aaron Bultman, David Downing, Gunner Jones, Hannah Hartley, Mikhaela Nelson, Clara Raab, Jakob Rathbun, Maleaha Smith, Abigail Spoonhoward and Michael Velasco.
