If you served in the military, or have a family member who did, we’d like to include you or them in our special Veterans Day section that publishes Nov. 7.

There is no cost. You can email or drop off a photo at our office, and include the name, dates of service, country served in and the branch of the military. To email, send it to kbradt@thedailyworld.com. If you drop it off, the office is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We’d also like to run written observations or recollections about what it means to serve. They should be no more than 350 words long and we will run as many as we have room for. Again, include the veteran’s name, information about length of service and branch, and a phone number in case we have questions. Those should be emailed to kbarkstrom@thedailyworld.com.

The deadline for submissions is Friday.
