A Valentine’s Day celebration will open this weekend’s Ocean Shores Renewed Antique Show at the Convention Center.

The $25-per-person event, running from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, includes food, drink, music and a “peek and preview.” This means Friday ticket holders will get first crack at the eclectic array of merchandise that will be showcased over the weekend — plus admission all day Saturday and Sunday.

Friday tickets must be reserved by texting or calling 360-580-5064 with your name, the number of tickets needed and your phone number.

Regular admission for the Renewed Antique Show is $3, or $2 with a non-perishable food or cash donation to the Ocean Shores Food Bank. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Dianne Hansen’s Event Planner business has handled this show for several years since inheriting it from the now-defunct Action Committee for Tourism (ACT). She shifting the emphasis to antique blending — a mix of recycling, upcycling and repurposing — has produced a strong response in the past few years.

As in recent years, this year’s event will include a vintage fashion show, scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. In honor of the Ocean Shores 50th Anniversary Celebration, it has been dubbed the “History of Ocean Shores Style Show.”
