Two new Eagle Scouts

Two local Boy Scouts passed their Eagle boards of review on Sunday evening.

Matthew Kimbrel of Troop 4014 in Elma has become an Eagle Scout at age 16. Matthew, the son of Marty and Sarah Kimbrel of Oakville, oversaw the creation of a first responders memorial in Elma for his community service project.

Gavin Blackett, the son of Dr. David Blackett and Magen Johnson of Elma, also became an Eagle Scout on Sunday. Gavin, a member of Troop 4058 in Elma, set up a cement resting bench in an Elma park for his project.
