Meghan Howell has been selected as the Aberdeen Rotary’s May Student of the Month.
Meghan is the daughter of Natasha Calica and Craig Howell. She is ranked 15th in her class, with a GPA of 3.922, and will be graduating as a Top Scholar.
Meghan has been a varsity cheerleader, varsity bowler and team captain, and a member of the National Honor Society and the Renaissance Action Team. Meghan has actively participated in Food Ball and helped run blood drives at AHS. She also helped with fundraising for the Seattle Children’s Hospital, specifically for children from around Grays Harbor.
“I show leadership with positivity,” she says. “Anyone would tell you that I am one of the most smiley people at AHS; and being a positive person, in my eyes, is an important concept for leaders to have.”
Meghan plans to enter Washington State University in the fall. Her goal is to complete a bachelor’s degree in biology at WSU and then attend medical school to become a doctor. She was in the Professional Medical Careers class this year and worked with residents at Pacific Care and Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
