North Beach group is singing for someone else’s supper

The North Beach Singers will perform their final 2017 holiday concert today at 3 p.m.

The North Beach Singers will perform their final 2017 holiday concert today at 3 p.m. at Pacific Beach Community Church. Admission is a donation of food or cash to local food banks.

Sandra Harley, executive director of the Ocean Shores Food Bank, spoke briefly during intermission at the group’s performance Dec. 8 at Faith Community Church in Ocean Shores.

“Thank you to the North Beach Singers, and a special thank-you to all of you for being here,” she said. “Each and every one of you sitting in this audience is making a difference in someone’s life. The compassion and care that you show this community is truly overwhelming.”

The Ocean Shores Food Bank, located at 846 Anchor Ave. NW, was able to provide more than 250 Thanksgiving turkeys to families in need. The facility is planning a pre-Christmas food distribution of holiday hams next Friday from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
