The WSU Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties will be hosting their annual Home and Garden Show next weekend at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma.

The show will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 19 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 20. Admission and parking are free all weekend.

The pavilion will be full of vendors selling everything from plants and garden art to home remodeling services and cabinetry. The Master Gardeners will also operate a special store featuring colorful annual planters (built and grown by local Master Gardeners).

Also offered will be a children’s booth with activities for kids of all ages, and a plant clinic to help answer specific gardening questions.

Additionally, individual Master Gardeners will be presenting talks throughout the weekend on a variety of garden topics.

Saturday at 1 p.m., the featured speaker will be Lorene Edwards Forkner, editor of Horticulture Magazine and author of “The Timber Press Guide to Vegetable Gardening in the Pacific Northwest.” She will discuss “10 Secrets to a Great PNW Vegetable Garden.”

Speaking Sunday at 1 p.m. will be Marianne Binetti, syndicated garden columnist of “The Compleat Home Gardener” and author of multiple Pacific Northwest gardening books. She will be bringing her “Container Wars” to the stage.
